Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire Crafting Details
You can craft gear for your Hero in the Armory. Once inside, tap the Craft Equipment tab. You will be able to craft powerful gear for your Hero in the Armory once you have collected the required Materials. You can find Materials from the Proving Grounds, select Quests, Resource Tiles, attacking Monsters, or by purchasing select sales from the Gold Store.
Recipes are divided into 5 Equipment categories: Helmets, Armors, Footwear, Weapons, and Accessories. Each tab contains a list of Equipment, including the Materials and other requirements for each Recipe. It also displays a Quality eter and the Bonuses the Equipment grants. Recipes that have their Requirements met filter to the top of the list.
Crafting Quality Meter
The Crafting Quality Meter is a tool used to display the chances you have to Craft Equipment f a certain Quality. The percentage printed on the color represents the odds you have of crafting something of that Quality. To increase the odds of achieving a quality, simply obtain the Materials required at the Quality level you desire.
Materials and Gems come in different Levels known as Qualities
- Level 1 – Basic (Grey)
- Level 2 – Common (White)
- Level 3 – Uncommon (Green)
- Level 4 – Rare (Blue)
- Level 5 – Epic (Purple)
- Level 6 – Legendary (Orange)
Crafting a Recipe
When you have met the requirements for the gear you want to create, tap the Craft button. On the following page, you will see the gear you wish to make on the Crafting Table. Directly beneath it, you will find the highest Quality Materials you own that are available for Crafting. Below is a list of all the other Quality levels of the Materials you own for that Recipe. Select one of the Materials on the Crafting Table to filter the list to display all the Materials you own of that type. The selected Material is displayed inside a green frame. You can swp the selected Material with the same Material of a different Quality in the section beneath the Crafting Table. Tap the Material in the green frame again to exit the filter.
If a Recipe contains 2 or more of the same Material and you select that Material in the list view, you will see a pulsating yellow frame around each. Tap the one you wish to switch and the Material will immediately swap.
Tap the gear on the Crafting Table to view its Bonuses. You can also view the Bonuses of each Quality level by tapping one of the six bars of the Craft Quality Meter.
When you are satisfied with your Material Quality level choices and Crafting success odds, use Gil to start the timer to create your gear, or Gold and Gil to instantly complete it.
Much like the Crafting Table, the Combination Table is seen at the top of the page. Below it are 4 Gem/Material Slots. There Slots can be populated with Gems/Materials from your stock. To successfully Combine a Gem or Material, you must own 4 or more of one kind of Gem or Material at the same quality. To switch between the Combination mode for Gems or Material, just select the Gem or Material tab.
All Crafted Equipment is present and viewable in the inventory (whether or not it is attached to your Hero). To view stats and/or embed Gems into Equipment, simply select the piece of equipment and you will be taken to the Equipment information screen. You are given 12 free slots for Equipment. Any more required Inventory space must be unlocked with a Tool Kit item.
Gem and Materials
All Gems and Materials are displayed in the Gems and Materials section. Here you select each Gem or Material you own to learn its Bonuses.
